Scrubs work by removing dirt and grime that is deeply ingrained in the pores leaving your face soft and clear. You can try out this basic recipe for a salt scrub. You will need the following:

• 1 cup salt
• 1 cup oil
• Some scented drops

If you want a firmer scrub, then try two parts of salt to only one part of oil. Add only enough oil to attain the consistency that you desire. The salt and oil may separate. If this happens, just stir them back together before using the scrub.

You only need to use four or five drops of an essential, fragrant oil. Too much may cause skin irritation.
